About PhotoGov
PhotoGov at photogovs.com is an online tool that crops and sizes passport, visa and ID photos to the dimensions listed for each document in its catalog — currently about 49 formats across 17 countries and regions. You upload a clear front-facing portrait, choose a document type, and download a file prepared to that published size for print or digital submission workflows.
What we are not
PhotoGov is an independent commercial service. It is not a government agency, embassy, consulate, or passport office, and it is not affiliated with photogov.net, photogov.in, or any similarly named third-party site. We do not issue travel documents, file applications on your behalf, or guarantee that an authority will accept a photo. Meeting published dimensions is not the same as official approval.
How document specs are maintained
Document landing pages are written from official portals and published guidance (.gov sites, passport and visa authorities, and consular pages). When we thicken a page, we link the official source and show a “checked” date. If our product catalog and an official page disagree, the official wording wins for on-page copy, and we note product gaps for engineering. Requirements change — always re-read the portal for your application before you submit.
Editorial policy
Blog posts and document photo-size pages are maintained by PhotoGov Editorial. We aim for factual, source-linked guidance without acceptance guarantees or implied government endorsement. When a material specification changes, we update the visible “Updated” date and the matching dateModified in structured data where the page uses Article or FAQ markup. Older posts may keep their original publish date when only wording clarifications are made.
